A selfish pact, deceit in fact is a cowardly act
Strand by strand it weaves a band that entangles foot and hand
With each lie, the harder I try, the tighter the knot I tie
No end to be found, once one is bound, these cords can never be unwound
Each lie pled, a ghost of the dead, whose haunting coils can not be shed
I continue to grope, but I have no hope to remove this suicidal rope
When a tongue is loose, there is no use, it forms a hangman’s noose
My face turned red, honor a shred, my character dangling dead
Don’t be misled, a lie once said, may leave you hanging by a thread

buttery-smooth, flow
kinda like how most lies
are stealthily silken, whispered
to bypass our awareness..
