Aenigma (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Hard to love

—harder to know

(Dreamsleep: January, 2022)

Beyond The Flames

You can burn a book,

but never burn its truth

The flames sear the meaning,

tattooed at the root

Dousing this sacrilege,

my felony went untried

Escaping with the Muse in tow

—a fugitive decried

    Kurt,

    • “Aenigma”
    Puzzling…isn’t it?!

Your Dreamsleep is intriguing and it’s providing much ‘food for thought’.

    Kurt,

    • “Beyond The Flames”
This is exactly how I envision your writings and any anecdotes you deem to share with this fan and avid reader of all your work.

‘Escaping with the Muse in toe
    —a fugitive decried’
Hmm…I’m wondering 💭 which ‘Muse in toe’? Just curious! 🧐

      'You can burn a book,
      but never burn its truth
      The flames sear the meaning,
      tattooed at the root'
      what is Truth?
is it in that Bonnie and Clyde
      zest for living, every breath
      of life's seconds
      and flaming-out, early
      but
      illuminatingly: Bright..
      or
      a warped zeal, for control
      that made priests, torture thinkers
      assuring themselves
if they burn every book and stifle every idea
      the world would remain, stagnant
      and those favourable
      'status quo's'
      stay, forever in place
and it will be the Sun
      circling
      their Wilful, ignorance...
      (just another great write Kurt
had to re-read a few times
to find my grasp of it
      thank you!)
