Run

LIVIA MILVUS

All my life, I've tried to run

From my past,my problems

My failures,my success

From expectations and accusations

All my life I've tried to run

But not for fun, never for fun

Chasing fantasies stupid dreams

Getting away from tears and screams

Running in hopes of escaping pain

But all my efforts were in vain

Because it all reaches me, always does

Making my heart clench and my head buzz

All my life I've tried to run

But not for fun, never for fun

Though there is  a strong hope in me

That someday I'll surely see

A face that will light my life like sun

To see me he'll turn

To know me he'll burn

He'll make me want to fly

Make me feel like I can reach the sky

And then with me he'll run

But only for fun, always for fun.

Supubly expressed. It reminded me of three poems I wrote. The pain life holds, deeper thought, and the story of life. Thanks for sharing. take a bow and shine๐Ÿ’Ž bright๐ŸŒŸ
