Lavender Egress

Noveyre

Sunset, dusk-set, pretty light dripping west

off of the edge and horizontal coastline

of the Earth, colored blue and briny

and spectacularly shining, at the onset

of a lavender-like egress

Are you sad when it leaves? Do you think that you can't see,

when yellow-gold doesn't paint your scene?

I disagree

In love with daybreak, watching all the Sky fade

waiting for my stars to peer out and align-

for the lines of far-away lanterns to bade

me hello, you're not alone, sit by my side

and join me.
