Time to feel like we're falling

Edthepoet

Speak to me of beauty

Speak to me of truth

You no longer know dear

What I think is truly beautiful

Speak to me of wonder

Speak to me of youth

You no longer know dear

What I thinks eternally wonderful

Cos you never ask

You just assume

And we're drowning here

But the water looks cool

And this ain't the song

You're supposed to write

About falling in love

About sharing a life

But I'm growing weary

Yes I'm growing tired

You're drifting apart from me

And as much as we try

We can't seem to speak it

Our tongues are tied

By the love we have shared

On this 20 year night..

But I think it's okay

I think it's time

To start a new day

To say our goodbye

You know I love you

But our well has run dry

My heart can't be the famine

Your heart hides behind

Time to admit it

To deal with our plight

Time to feel like we're falling

Instead of crash landing this flight

Because those who have fallen

Will be destined to rise

    a poised, portrait of love
    in its Phoenix form
    inked rhythmically, Poetic..
what a great read, thanks for sharing
    'Speak to me of beauty
    Speak to me of truth'
("Beauty is truth, truth beauty,--that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.")
her be: the greatness of Keats'
    written centuries
    before, we ever gurgled
    our disquiet of life...!
