Ode to the IT

Stephanie Mayweather

ODE to the IT

When you think you know, but you don’t know
Is the worst part of understanding yo
When you pretend to know, but don’t even try to know
Is even worse than really knowing, yo
Walk in a man’s shoe’s, stand in a brother’s place
If you don’t wanna know, back out my face

IT exists, IT exists strong
You know, you know when you’re wrong
Stand down, cause you don’t know what you think you know
Pretenders are so boring, yo

Throw a radical fist in the air
Wave a peace sign, but you don’t care
What do you know pretender
I say Peace and Power to the people
You say Power and Peace to the Steeple

Go somewhere, get free
Go somewhere, you don’t know me
You don’t know what you pretend to know
That’s the worst part of understanding, yo.
