Forgotten Feelings

Alexander J. Wolfe

It's scary like mad

To believe but I

Think I may have,

Finally found what I

Had stopped reaching for.

I recall failings,

And try healing,

A rebirth of forgotten feelings;

Now a revival to rival,

The fear involved.

A feeling calls, to give my all.

Alexander J. Wolfe.

To the most amazing woman I have ever known.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This goes out to all of you who have been absolutely crushed by people you may have loved. Your sense of intimacy and trust might be gone, the feelings might be repressed, you might have never known what real love is like, the fear may overwhelm you, but I truly hope you find someone who can help you to heal. I had given up on all of it, I was terrified of love, but a special someone came into my life, she is the reason that I now know what it's like to be loved with someone's entire being. We went into it as a simple hookup kind of thing through Tinder, I think we were both afraid of being attached to anyone. We wanted a fun date and good sex, that's it, but things went differently. Now we are helping eachother to heal and overcome our pasts, I couldn't wish for anything better. Through all of our fear, our reservations, our trauma, everything, we are finding a way. I want that for all of you, you might give up on love, but love won't give up you.
