She

Charles Edward York

I bathe her invisibly with moonlight affection
Casting a glow with the caress of my hand
She ripples softly beneath each touch
Smooth as silk and velvet
Bright ambiance even in shadow
As a newborn star asleep as she.

Serenity glides beneath my sensitive strokes
Each sensation lifting her gentle sighs
I behold her body as pure mystery
Pure light, pure beauty
Profoundly grateful night grants
No greater gift or dream as she.

Oh, how boundless in mortal fortune am I
I count my heart to be her catch
In all my travels, splendor and abode
No other heavenly wonder
Graces my days in sunny lining
And fills my nights with awe as she.

Thank you for taking the time to read my poem and I’m not just saying that as a general comment I’m saying it personally because every time someone reads my poems I feel a sense of joy that my piece of inspiration made them smile.

So sensuously written - I truly enjoyed the read Charles.

In my love palms I try to bring about a sense of sensuality as well as spirituality of connecting beneath the skin to something very eternal as well as appealing to the senses. I hope you think I succeeded. And thank you for the compliment and observation of my poetry; I really mean it.
