Battle Inside Me

Anna Colette

There's a battle inside me;

My heart and my head

My gut and my body.

It's been almost a year

And you've waited,

You've listened to everything

You've been the most amazing thing to happen in my life.

All my friends and family say I should

That it's simple,

It's easy

So why does it scare me so much?

How do I know when I'm ready to kiss you?

Take your time.... you never know, it might all just wander away from you and there.... problem solved.. Alternatively... get on with it!

I think you captured that mix
of excitement and trepidation, we feel
    when starting out something new
    really well,
sadly, that's a feeling which visits us a lot less
in our aged years of cynical grumpiness, lol
so good to be reminded, it still exists and is being experienced
    by others..
a wonderful read, thanks for sharing
