The Web

sorenbarrett

A spider web,

its silk strands stretched from earth heavenward, glisten,

strung with a hundred small clear, crystal beads of reflected rainbows.

In it’s creator’s eyes,

its innate geometric perfection and sublime elegance,

affirms its divine and righteous purpose.

Yet, in its transient, gentle colors resides a false promise;

a temporary, deceptive, macabre illusion of beauty and peace.

    Beautiful poem
    You captured its magical elegance
    But also it’s darker side hints in your well woven lines ⭐️
