Layola's Scriptures

A. Unukogbon

  1. In my deepest thoughts,

I lose the tightest knots,

Life is a mirror,

Every day we come before this mirror,

We look to be satisfied with our image,

The same way we live to gain satisfaction;

  1. He is wearing my clothes,

I point in his way,

He points back at me,

I speak and he speaks back at me,

What we see is a reflection of us,

What we say is a reflection of us;

  1. Should I see foolery in a man,

And refuse to see it in myself,

Should a man’s hat reflect black in the mirror,

And he says no

His is white? ;

  1. I refuse to leave foolery in my image,

I shall dust it off before I leave,

Oh, the design of my native attire is good,

I will tell you where I bought it;
