Juliet

sophin

Surely you must be

My Juliet, for you make me delusional

Let me do anything for you, my love

how can i convey to you

the blueness of the sky, well i tell you

it is as blue as the gold of the sea

the waves at sunset over a summer night

the color of your eyes

Is there a word

For what I feel, dear Juliet, I would

Break all bounds for you

how can i convey to you

the warmth of blood on my hands

red as the roses you held so dear

and i present to you your prize

this is my devotion, the sweet tang of death

There must be a reason

That we met that night, but in

Any way, it does not matter

how can i convey to you

the way i pace around the cellar

the chains clang their sweet song, i

can see your smile from here, i smile with you

i would do it all over for you

Should any oppose our union,

Let them come to me, I will fight

For us, Juliet, believe in me

how can i convey to you

the extent i would go, i tell you

look at the horizon where the sun dips into deep blue

even farther than that, farther look beyond

to where the clouds gather in murky shades of flame

Believe in me, my Juliet

No obstacle is too great for me

We will live peaceful with a garden on the side

how can i convey to you

the circle of snow, did you know

white roses symbolize death, red ones

don’t naturally grow in this soil but that’s alright

i’ll paint them red for you

  • Comment from author about the poem: there has been much debate whether the story of Romeo and Juliet was one of true love or unnatural infatuation. Here is my take on the latter.
