I just want to get away from it all - from
the romance,
the tissues,
and ornate halls.
I just want to escape - from
the diamonds,
the velvet,
and all of the pain.
I just want to get away - from
the blue pools,
the grey tears,
and all of the opulent fears.
And I surmise that all I have left,
is to now say goodbye,
to you, my past,
and all of your expectations.
the romance,
the tissues,
and ornate halls.
I just want to escape - from
the diamonds,
the velvet,
and all of the pain.
I just want to get away - from
the blue pools,
the grey tears,
and all of the opulent fears.
And I surmise that all I have left,
is to now say goodbye,
to you, my past,
and all of your expectations.
