Passionless Play

josephgw

Excuse me, it broke.

Well, who broke it, please tell me.

I don't know, no one?

Listen to yourself.

If you don't listen, who will?

Got nothing to say.

What's the point then fool?

Perhaps it's just all  pointless.

So, I am a fool?

Dance monkey she said.

Those words stung him and he cried.

Blackness awaits him.

No she said, there's God.

But what if there is nothing?

God will fill the void.

Fill my void he asks.

See, he knows he is broken.

Step. Snap goes the twig.

She came in his dreams.

Morpheus brought her to him.

Then he woke, alone.

His spirit is gone.

A passionless play, Scene Eight.

Foolish monkey cries.

The curtain lowers.

Then, there is only blackness.

And the fool was right.
