He says i confused his love for lust
I refused but he's not asking if he may, he must
You did all the right things, you brought me back
Taught me to trust
If you notice there are things that sell fast,
But they're painted over, underneath you find rust
But soon i figure when he cant carry his own weight, He'll bust
But what if its not that, and this is just his state
And everything the pastor has told me is true, you've used me as bait
Our love
mixed with hate
You were right all along, about "Its meant to be", "Its our fate", "My love".
"Our destiny"
Do you remember our first date, you grabbed my hair at the intersection when I jumped out your car door
You and I both know you gave me no choice, that was for sure
He wont let go of my hair,
My feet are dragging across the street
There are cuts on my face,
and blood all over my feet
I told you take me anywhere but home to my sister
I wont let her see me drunk
That's when i first witnessed your bad intentions and I swear my heart sunk
Its crazy you had me on my knees,
Begging you to come back
An only a few hours later I'm running from you,
In front of your headlights
StreetLights
But somehow you make the night pitch black
You like to wallow in my pain
because you can't stand your own
That's the only type of remorse from you
That I'd ever known

A man for all seasons, the way he saved you by the hair, you just know he's a stayer. The only problem with some stayers is, they actually stay.
Like your poem.
