Escape, Winter Bird

Anonymoose

Winter bird, fly as high as you can,

Escape the realities of the cruel world.

Let the blood flow,

Below your midnight feathers,

The rivers of red plague your land,

Escape the realities of the cruel world.

Winter bird, claws sharp as blades,

Tear the sky with immense rage,

Let the blood flow,

Purity tainted forever,

As the jaws of death destroy all,

Fly as high as you can, Winter bird.

The world is dead, reality broken,

Head for the stars, galaxies beyond,

Live in a dream where nothing can hurt you,

Escape the terrors below.

Their blinded eyes, forced to look into the beyond,

Rotting forevermore.

Impure.

Gone.

Forgotten.

Let your tears fall, Winter bird,

Your heart has been broken too many times,

Leave behind the ones you love,

Fly towards the safety of the stars.

Escape the realities of the cruel world,

Let the blood drip

From you sharp claws,

My beloved, Winter bird.
