Intertwined

Intertwined

Lying here together our bodies intertwined

The rhythm of our hearts is beating in my mind

The scent of love floats lightly in the air

Light glistens like diamonds off of the sweat on bodies bare

Temporarily paralyzed in this euphoric state of peace

Yet totally fulfilled in the state of sweet release

There’s no place on earth that I would rather be

Than here wrapped up with you and you wrapped up with me

Two heart beats and two breaths, all in perfect tune

Passion blazing hot, like sand in the desert at noon

Yet I’m safe in the calm harbor of your sweet embrace

Tranquil in the stillness of this lovely sacred place

Lying here together, our bodies intertwined

Forever I will love you with my body, soul, and mind
