Love.

hapadalecki

I look at myself and I see nothing good.

I see emptiness

I see insecurities

I see scars

I see fat

But when you look at me you see everything good.

You see the sparkle in my eyes

You see beauty

You see a heart that needs loved.

You see battle wounds.

You see all the things I can’t see. You look at me and see someone who’s gone without love for so long, and slowly but surely you’re making me see those things you see. The beauty, the sparkle, everything. You make me see the love I should’ve given myself a long time ago.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is about the most amazing man I have ever met. He sees me more than what my body looks like or my past. He sees me for me. He makes me laugh harder than I have laughed in a very long time. He has shown me what true love is. He’s shown me what it’s like to be loved with someone’s entire heart.

It’s difficult to see ourselves in a positive light when we have low self esteem / feel bad about ourselves . Good he’s helping you to see the good in yourself ! ))

It’s so hard. It’s so good to feel like this again! He’s truly the best. Thank you for your comment!

I truly believe there's beauty in all of us,but sometimes,..much like a treasure, one just has to know how to,or where to search. Seek and ye shall find. So glad you've found someone so special. Cheers🍻🤗🌹✌️🕊

Hun it aint what you look like that matters cos sooner or later we all gonna look like a wrinkly misshapen thing - I'm there already LOL. It's whats on the inside which counts.

Very true. But, he’s helping me see what I should’ve seen in myself a long time ago. Not even just looks. But everything else.
