Mountain

MKL

I’m climbing a mountain to get over you

Some days I hike with enthusiasm

ready to shake you from my mind

Fueled by the pain you caused

Inspired by my new freedom

And other days I fall

The thoughts of you weighs me down

Missing you takes hold

I can’t walk with stride anymore

I’m pushing so hard

But I can’t move forward

Because I know

If you ever looked my way again

I’d fall straight down that mountain into your arms

yeah, breakups can be such gruelling climbs
worst part, we hardly ever know
if we can survive what we find at that mountain peak...
