Outer Banks

Buzz Bray

Your hair

Dances in the wind

Your face turns to the sun

Welcoming the warmth

Behind you the ocean

Sings incessantly

As your chest rises and falls.

You breathe serenely

Unaware of the eyes studying you

And the heart beating with yours.

Your eyes twitch slightly,

Dream-visions fill your sleep,

Displaying your soul in all its pristine beauty.

The horizon frames your face.

You bathe in sunlight, breeze and serenity,

Dear lady of the sea and the sand.

Magic carpet woman

Who has brought me to this

And so many places

Meaningful because you are there.

Sleep on, sweet soul of my soul.

Your hair dancing with the sea wind

Your face tanned in the sun

Smiling fleetingly,

Dreaming dreams of wonder.

Thank you for your comments. You have a wonderful sense of humor, and I honestly got a good laugh from this. BTW, there are no casinos permitted on this part of the Outer Banks.
