Goodbye

Susanne

Goodbye but not forever

But for a bit

I can put on my ipod and listen to music all night but

It won’t erase the image of you

Your silky hair your gorgeous eyes the bright smile you show me

All gone

You’re gone

I don’t know why I am not gone too

I know that life takes its toll

But why now

Why did life point a finger at you

Or did they take it from a hat of papers

Like a sea of names

As the people drown wondering if they’ll make it out of death's grasp

You were one of them

Trying to live

But death caught you

Picked you up and flew away

I will soon join you too

Till that day I will say goodbye but not forever
