Passion Pursuit by Michelle Olds

1ofMyPassions

Lonely heart

Missing..

Waiting..

Wanting..

You

Empty soul

Searching for the one

To fill me

Complete me

Make my dreams come true

Broken

Tears finalize the truth

Unanswered prayers

Pain which holds my heart captive

To question why is to acknowledge weakness

Spirits shattered

Strength depleted

Ego bruised

Am I destined for a path of destruction?

Lonely heart

    can't help, but relate
    the anguish you portray
    to all the suffering
my eyes have 'glazed over', during my life
and a part of my mind, has tried to forget
knowing, there's no rhyme or reason
    to what fate deals us
some setbacks, so easy to identify
where as some, are hidden, deep
behind brave smiles and far too knowing, eyes..
    (a great write!
I think you measured the emotional levels really well
in what must have been, a really tough write
to read back to yourself, from
    an objective reader's perspective)
    thanks for sharing, dear Poet

Very measured and balanced use of feelings. Great
