War Drums

DestinysPerspectives

I want to guide us to peace.

It's where resolutions meet.

But you sound the war drums

every time we meet.

So I write poems negotiating

my terms of peace.

All you know is the sound of

war drums.

No ones taught you the words

of peace.

I am sorry I didn't teach them to

you.

I just sounded my war drums.

Do you ever get sick of the sound?

Do you ever just want to hear another

sound?

Maybe a sweet lullaby drifting you

to a peaceful sleep?
