The forest awakens
from the folds
of a drowsy day;
to welcome the fireflies.
Fireflies that light up
the night scented leaves;
fireflies that light up
the entwined trees...
Their iridescent light
enfolding the forest
in a green glow
a glow
that shimmers
all through the night,
making the forest
more enchanted!

An enchanting poem about fireflies.
Turns out I wasn't too far from Niagra Falls😱😂
Thank you dear Rozina🤩🦋🌻
This is really beautiful Jayasree. I was on a all day bicycle ride one time,I got lost after loosing the sun,..my sence of direction lol😂 I thought I was hilucinating when I started to see the little lights in the farmers fields. When I realized they were fireflies,I knew I was really lost. I'd never seen them before. I live in Toronto😊
Thank you dear poet. 🤩🦋🌻
That's lovely seeing fireflies and that too suddenly without realising it. A beautiful memory to treasure always. I love seeing fireflies.
