A Let Down

Jack Ace

I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.

I didn't know that you were in such pain.

I didn't know that you were in such times dire times.

I knew that things were rough, but I never knew how much they had progressed.

To know that you suffered at the hands of those you cared for, to know that the world was unkind and treated you in such a vile manner, it fills me with anguish.

You were there for me when I was descending into the dark scape of my agonized soul.

And to know that I could have helped you more and didn't sickens me.

Every day now I feel ill with guilt and terror that you were almost gone you for good.

And even though are safe and sound now, I still have to tell you...

I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.

I'm sorry I let you down.
