Cake Of Sorrows

Susanne

Sitting alone

All on your own

A cake of sorrows

The cake that you’ll save for tomorrows

Crying at your pity party

You feel so sorry

Not for anyone but yourself

The cake of tears sits on your shelf

Your party hat looks so flat

As your feet rub on the mat

Tears are falling

But you are just stalling

You were a mask of lies

Making sure nobody sees through your disguise

Oh how pitiful you are trying too hard

But you’ll never discard the mask you wear

You’re at a point of no return

You have gone off the deep end and in turn no one trusts you

That's the sad truth of your little pity party

You say you're sorry

Apologies apologies apologies apologies apologies apologies apologies apologies

Forgive and forget right

Right...

Man, there's a lot of hurt in this poem. A little betrayal with salt thrown in the wounds.
