Snowblood/Snowblind

MattDyer

Snow blind, I can’t see the way through

Snow blood come and steal my soul

When ice replaces life

You may never know, you may never see

The good that was instilled in me, when I let my eyes grow cold

When I let my face fall down

WE built city after city of sand and ash

Only to watch the waves crash through

The tears, the pain, the blood spilled for unity

Divides and I am left snow blind

Running in circles my mind is in a deep rut

When I try to get out it feels fake, so I ‘ll dive back

And kill myself for comfort’s sake

Does light break through the thickest of dark

Does grace break through the thickest of habit

On a mountainside, snow blind, loss of all I seek

Gain of all I hate, when will I see You’re here with me

One foot in front of the other, will I fall off the peak before I find relief

It’s through my own strength I seek to get off the mountainside,

When I fall will You catch me or will I be left to die, snow blind

When blood pools around I know my end is near, fallen I see

Every lost thought buried beneath feet of ice

Built, only to be lost before bloom

I am my enemy, so kill me snow blood

I have come to die, snow blind
