Nameless (2)

Suman_Bhattacharya

possibly a stretch of time

          never seen or felt earlier

it appeared like the seasons ─ slowly with silent footsteps

like a homeless lying all alone under the cold sky

welcoming the misty moments he still needs to survive

the lights all around faded

in subtle intervals of momentary darkness

the darkest patch though is yet to come

the tired eyes still waiting to perceive it

even though nothing not much unknown lies beyond

          just left to know

it is the end of the beginning

or just the beginning of the end
