Unspoken

Suman_Bhattacharya

words one said cannot be taken back

but what about the few that remain unspoken

may be because of some helplessness

or moments when they could be uttered never arrived

or saying them would have never created a ripple anywhere

they remain hidden somewhere deep

      covered in some shell

waiting forever for the arrival of the moment

to break them free

words that remain unspoken

what value they can add to this world

neither the sun cares for them

nor the tides stop to say a hi

their silence becomes defeats in the pages of history

their thoughts become fossils of a ship

wrecked in the silence of the sea

their protests remain unnoticed

their cries have no voice

still they exist

just with a hope of a twilight
