Frozen heart

Dr Mufeeda

Deep inside,

These layers of snow,

My heart is buried,

Frozen and numb.

Randomly releasing

A sluggish throb,

Revealing flecks of red,

Through its bruises.

Until the day,

The rays of hope,

Is fierce enough,

To melt the snow caps,

And drive out the zest.

The warmth will follow,

And blossom, as well.
