Bright Lilly

Charles Edward York

Subtle and soft

Your skin floats my joy

A bright Lilly

Beaming so tender

Beneath the light of

Stars too many to count

And the Moon

So luminous in the night

Whose face

Caresses yours

As if you were

Its divine relation.

Over cool water

Your voice breathes me

Alive and awake

A lotus bloom

Rising from the deep

Drenching my soul

In Heavenly arrays

Angels surround us

And wings spring up

Spreading joy

Around my world

In butterfly smiles.

Hope rises and hovers

Inside my chest

You make me soar

Ever so delicately

In rapturous flight

Giving me

Your je n'a se quoi

And turning my head

Again and again

You and your magic

Unfurling your petals

And making me bloom.
