Caged Away

TabithaB

"Cast away , locked up in a cage

She can't break away , or hide from her pains

Lost in space , she's just tryna find her way

Emotional chaos , she can't lay her thoughts to rest , always going through the motions of some Uneventful mess

And As big as the ocean maybe , her secrets will always rest deep at the bottom of the sea

Never to be unveiled , never to be seen Forever locked away for all of eternity.

Look in her eyes and you'll see , all the stories her lips cannot speak ,

A passageway to her soul , that will one day be set free. No longer suffering , no longer hurting

One day she'll find her way

And be set free from this cage , she'll

Struggle to find strength , but that's okay

Because she's a beauty in the struggle

Who will always find a way .

And on the day her light shines free

All her sorrows will fade away

Never to be bargained with

Never to be reclaimed.

Her past won't define her , and she won't place blame

On those who have wronged her , during her time caged away.

She'll be thankful for the struggle

She'll be greatful for the years of pain

Because one day she'll realize

That God did it to make her the women she is today.

And before she lays her pretty little head to rest tonight

She'll give thanks to the man who gave her strength , Who never let her down , who always made a way.

She'll thank the man who gave her all that faith.

Because through it all , he's the only one who stayed

She'll be free one day , no longer caged away

Without feelings of guilt and self hate

She'll love herself endlessly , without any doubt

She'll have to accept the things she can not change

And love herself through all her heartache.

Only then will she be set free form her sorrows and pain

And can live life effortlessly , never to be caged away .

Beautiful sentiment, beautifully written. And for myself, being in the catagory of a septuagenarian , it rings very true for. Thank you.
