The Last Prophesy

sorenbarrett

When its tail the serpent does swallow

And all prophesies we decry

In the shadow of knowledge we’ll wallow

As the dead again do die

Blind fools we follow

As the honest lie

What is solid will be found hollow

And the most loyal will be a spy

The midnight sun will be disguised

A step forward becomes two to the abyss

While in their blood children are baptized

From the skies gods we will miss

What’s impossible will become realized

And the truth will be dismissed

Where the revered become despised

And the wicked, saints that we kiss

The sun will drip with slime

As a mechanical cancer spreads over all

Where freedom is a crime

And everything sweet turns to gall

In the evaporation of time

The grim reaper will tremble and fall

True blue will become blood red

All differences illegal will become

As priests us unwed

Mohammed will go to the slum

As nature is put on her head

Night to light will succumb

No one will dare to speak

Our thoughts will be rewired

Manufactured happiness we will seek

Sex will no longer be desired

Then the ground will reek

And nowhere peace shall be acquired
