Ethereal

Ethereal

David Grigorian

Where have you gone? My dear,

So faraway in the past you hide,

Somewhere in the ethereal realm,

You  are waiting for me,

You are no longer here,

Yet, forever in my heart,

Memories of you,

Are the treasures I will cherish until the end of time.

Can you hear me?

When I weep on a cold empty night,

Or if I whisper your name on your birthday,

As I play our favorite song,

And wail curled up on the carpet,

If I tell you of how much I love you,

By your tombstone,

Will you hear me?

Can you feel my agony?

When I touch your face in our photos,

My heart rips and splits in half,

Or my tears that stain your favorite pillow,

I'm so cold and abandoned,

If I put my feet in your soft pink slippers,

Will you feel my frozen toes?

You used to call them my ten piggies,

Remember?

I scream and sob,

To hold you angelic hand again,

To kiss you on your warm cheek,

Will you hug me?

Oh, please, oh, I beg you,

Will you cuddle with me just one more time?

I'm so unloved without you,

This world is so toxic and hostile without your smile,

I know....I know that you love me,

You might be in the past,

You are present and future in my heart,

I will love you beyond time, space and eternity,

Please wait for me in that unreachable place,

I like to call,

Ethereal.
