They say long distance never works but I think that's stupid, hearts chose people not places. And it kills me that your place happens to be 1,620 miles away; but that's never meant I don't love you like you live next door.
And it also doesn't mean it isn't hard. I've never missed someone so deeply who I haven't actually lost and missing you is the most difficult thing I've had to do; watching all the other couples get the little things like goodbye kisses and falling asleep to the sound of your heartbeat instead of whispering goodnight kisses through the phone.
But it's all worth it the moment I run into your arms and I'm home again. It drives me crazy to not be able to be there with you but it's worse to simply not have you at all.
So I'll wait as long as it takes, I will fight as hard as you need, I will love you as much as I can. State lines and a seven hour plane rides are a small price to pay for the forever I cannot wait to spend with you .
