Shelter me please you beautiful trees from the wind and the rain and the storm Stretch out your arms and keep me from harm There are monsters who roam until dawn The roots of your soul are spread out through the earth Bursting with seeds that will grow and give birth You're so tall I can't reach, you just grow by the hour In abundance of leaves and blossoms that flower In all shades of green you will grow oh so tall and walk across lands as a king of us all Banana trees, apple trees, just think of that, radiant in colours with life giving sap You're a home for the wild flying high flying low Your provisions are plenty with generous gifts you bestow You stand there alone you are a world of your own, I'm in awe of your magical powers Do you sing with the birds a song that's not heard by a mortal as simple as me ? I wish that I knew all these things about you but your secrets hide deep in the earth So I'll go on my way and just say "good day" to the trees as they smile and just bow Tomorrow is the same when I'll be here once again Just for me when I talk to my tree. ~ end ~

Your imagery is breathtaking. I'm a tree hugger and a nature lover, and you've put into words everything I feel when I walk among the trees. Thank you!
