Friends to enemies

hapadalecki

You told me I was treating you badly but what you failed to realize is I was just treating you the same way you’ve treated me.

The silence

The lies

The snarky little comments

I learned it all from you. You just didn’t like being given your own medicine. So, how does it taste?

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is about those best friends that you think will last forever but they turn on you, and when you give them their own medicine they blame it all on you. I know this feeling all too well.

I like the concept, and it started off nice, I just feel as though the ending could be stronger. We've all heard the "own medicine" line before, so it holds less power to me personally, but it's still a nice poem!
