Haunting lullaby

Freya

Ashy knees

bruised up legs

torn up white lace dress

in the woods you run away

from all that's been left

The ghost behind

flashing lights

following you with every step

Not even the purest river

can clean up all regret.

Your bloody arms

Rotten heart

love deprived

hollow inside

by your beauty he was hypnotized

fooled by a facade of winsome lies

thought your love made his soul bright

now only his body lies

paralyzed and stripped of life

He won't rest till it's you he finds.

    What a great poem.
It has everything, intrigue, revenge, the search for justice. Is there a sequel.

    • Freya

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'll work on making a sequel.

Such an intriguing start, and it never lets up. Sometimes vagueness adds more to it than details.

      • Freya

That's true, I'd hope it still delivers the message.

        simply Brilliant!
