innocent

Miss Begotten

i pray

i pray that you're ok

i know you won't talk about it

i know how your head gets crowded

i know that you're exhausted

i hope you know you can lean on me

i know how it feels

i know it gets hard to breathe

when you're trying to hold your head

above water

i know it only gets harder

i hope you know

i don't hold it against you

how i could i blame you?

it's not your fault

they tried to tear you apart

i'm sorry you had to give up

your heart

you gave in and i understand

what could you do?

they had tied your hands

i know you think it's not that simple

you're too ashamed to give me an example

i know that you're haunted

i know how you were taunted

but you don't have to hold onto it

you are forgiven

and you can finally forget

let go of the regret

you're an innocent

and i will love you

with or without it

This is so sad yet sweet that you are there for this person

the sheer level of tenderness and empathy
    you imbued into these words
    just jumps-off this page..
    thanks for sharing
