A perfect illusion

C.M. Unger

Early morning rays

Flowers nodding heavy with dew

Whispy clouds lazyly drifting

Butterflies tumble in gentle gusts of wind

Shots echo over the hills

Lifeless bodies

Scarlet blood feeds the ground

Silence

Bees buzzing in the haze

    really intriguing
    how you lines
    start out with Nature
    and finish with Nature
    and in-between, is the decimation
    humanity, inevitably brings...
(a great write! and so timely
    with your arrowed commentary
    thanks for sharing, dear poet)
