Cocktails For Putin

Jerry Reynolds

Planned this man of power
Ukraine’s demise by the hour
Tanks and guns scattered about
Insane move by this lout
Nana's cocktail burns him out

    And, Jerry?
My literal mind hasn't encompassed the implications of Nana's cocktail - bet you can't order that in my favorite pub.

Thanks, Dave. Good to hear from you worried you might be caught in the flood. "Nana's cocktail" is referencing Ukrainian grandmothers mixing Molotov cocktails.

Ah ha - got it now Jerry.

I live atop a hill. Have ordered snorkel goggles and flippers on line, but I'm not sure if the vendor has a sound rowboat.....

'Tea leaves thwart those who court catastrophe'
'while bored arena crowds for once look eager,
hoping toward havoc, neither pleas nor prizes'
        from Ennui by Sylvia Plath
        (another great shorty Jerry
        what a succinct, snapshot
        of how we're all, coping
        with the chaotic absurdities
in our evermore, bleak - reality...)
