To what end?

Doggerel Dave

Just when did war’s solution become love?

No past conflict managed to hear that plea.

Have you no answer from your Lord above?

It’s Deep History which provides the key.

Fully endorse your thoughts.Let us pray it will end soon

No, my third line, I hope, indicates that, without offense, I don't believe in the power of prayer, unfortunately.

I am evidently on your side sir ...

Thanks Nev. I may have to post it again - it shot through the Latest Poems column extremely fast: I'll have to be more strategic about when I put up my next effort (if any).

Thanks for that, Nev - I'm not sure I can keep away, however irritated I find myself with some contributions here....You do rightly point out that it takes all sorts...

          • Doggerel Dave

Fair analysis - trouble is some seem to survive for an inordinate length of time before they disappear and in the meantime inflict the kind of damage to innocent civilians you note.
