Inside Of Me

The Depressed 1

In the not so distant future I can see

A dark world that resides inside of me

Ahead I cannot see any speck of light

My days are darker than my nights

For me love is like a vast empty plain

Something that help keeps others sane

No love have I ever felt or have I found

Inside of me I am cold and void of sound

Have cried so much that tears no longer fall

Like a phone that never rings I receive no calls

Alone like a single boat in a rough empty sea

I cannot let anyone inside of me

yeah, it seems there's a part of us
    that dies
when we shun that available warmth
    afforded, in our lives
    and choose
    to row our boat, alone
    safeguarding
    against pains and hurts
that close proximity, tends to bring..
    still, every life
    deserves to choose, how
    they survive and fight
    for what meaning, they've gleaned
    of life...
    (thanks for sharing
    stay strong, dear poet)
