Legends don't die

Alexander Pope III

Shane was the God of spin

But the death, he could not win

Without him, cricket history is a dustbin

Legends don’t die

Style more than any movie hero

Most of the batsman stopped at zero

Even after being bowled out by him, no one felt sorrow

Legends don’t die

An eternal lover boy chasing love

His Spin beating even the best wicketkeeper’s glove

Warne is a sports god sort of

Legends don’t die

So fond of drinking

In Pub he stopped Thinking

Scandals by him Newspaper loved printing

Legends don’t die

First to claim 700 wicket

Always ensuring a full return for the audience’s ticket

Many hubbies ensuring his presence in TV Room a total prohibit

Legends don’t die

Bleached hair, stud earrings, and surfing

Grace even in 50-degree preserving

All attention he got was fully deserving

Legends don’t die

Master of Leg spin art

Be it Gaba, Melbourne, or Hobart

In every win, Shane always had the biggest part

Legends don’t die

God call legends back fast

His three kids are aghast

They loved him so much even at his worst

Legends don’t die

Cricket will never get another Shane

Millions of fans are in deep Pain

From watching cricket I may forever abstain

For my legend who died

this is without doubt a fine tribute to someone who became a legend in his own far too brief lifetime ..
