Darkness

N

The unspoken words of sorrow

Ruin me bit by bit

Yet I got the music in me

Which locked up my thoughts

But did it really?

I think and think

People say I over-think

But do I really?

Perhaps I feel too much

Which I shouldn’t

‘Cause in the end

I’m the one hurt

A scratch might not hurt me

But someone’s words might

It’s a curse to feel deeply

Perhaps a blessing in disguise

Perhaps not

Storms roll in my head

Leaving me gloomy

I can’t see the light

I can’t see the light

  • Comment from author about the poem: World's crazy. So are we. We live in phases; some bright and some dark. Dark phases blind us and we fail to see the light thereafter. It takes days to recover, sometimes even months. Even though the poem may sound negative, please remember that darkness fades away eventually. You'll see the light, you'll see the light. Love, N.

Hey, I'd rather not say thanks here. It's not a good sign. Mental peace is of utmost importance. Please seek help!
I'm there if you need me!

Thankyou . It’s good to let those feelings out in poetry .

Exactly. Comes out better in words.

arrowed wording of the despair we all can relate to
still, we must strive to overcome..
        thanks for sharing
