tears of remembrance

tears of remembrance

03/05/2022

the wealth I squandered,

once steeped in knowledge

now I’m homeless,

of wisdom and foliage

the tears of remembrance,

flow unrelenting

all seems so hopeless,

life’s twilight, seeks repenting

the deeds I did,

I must admit

atone for crimes,

Alas! squandered time

... Alas, I fear very much the same my friend ...
this lament of yours is more than just a poetic expression of woe and an open confession ..
... It is a lesson to all that time is precious and no matter how hard one tries, it can not be clawed back ..
... Indeed, I think these words are near priceless and sincerely hope they gain far more attention in my wake, because, they are most surely worth it ...

    and yes, I too
    have pilfered, Time
    from myself
like the fool I am... lol
