Heros journey
Mentors smiles
Fire and rebirth
Rage so vile
Mourning while
Hearing not a verse
Yet deep within the stories
Deep within the tales
The lessons born
The pain endured
Mere ornaments to wear
For when you look
At archetypes
They're not gods
Made of stone
They are lessons that
We all must learn
Along the winding road
By chasing after dollar bills
And burying our dreams
The world we made
The price we paid
Was never being free
As death is waiting for you, still
Along our winding road
Ready, eager, willing
To devour all your hope.
