I'm hiking a beautiful
mountain trail ,
beauty hid behind
a tree's
veil
The trail has a
beautiful mountain stream
that's crystal clear ,
with some of it having
a trickling sound
that's very pleasing
to the ear
The sun's glittering
sparkling light ,
is reflecting on the face
of the water
bright
My feet stays
on the trail
but my eyes
keep going astray ,
there is so much beauty
along the way
The whole side of the mountain
is consumed ,
by the big white flowered laurel
where it has bloomed ,
it smells as though the mountain
has been perfumed
Some standing at least
eight feet tall ,
on both sides of the trail
a giant flowering
wall
Here there's a natural rock bridge
that spans the creek
and the water runs through ,
some geologists say its
at least a million years old
I haven't
a clue

a great read!
thanks for sharing, dear Poet
in the traditions
of Li Bai, Bashō
Keats, Shelley
and Gary Snyder
see how your words, favourably compare
to this acclaimed poem:
' We finished clearing the last
Section of trail by noon,
High on the ridge-side
Two thousand feet above the creek
Reached the pass, went on
Beyond the white pine groves,
Granite shoulders, to a small
Green meadow watered by the snow,
Edged with Aspen—sun
Straight high and blazing
But the air was cool.'

Thank you very much for the like and comment. Also for the information. I wrote a poem about a valley watered by snow melt , and I said in it the air was cool like a giant fan . Well I said a meadow, but I was picturing a valley in my mind. It's nothing special, but I'll see if I can find it.
Maybe it’s because I’m here in Canada nearing winters end,..I hope, and longing for warm weather + I’m a big nature lover. Between the two,I just had to fav your poem. A beautiful scenery you’ve painted here. Thanks for sharing 🌞🕊
Thanks a lot for the like and comment. I'm a nature lover too, just remembering last years hike. I'm looking forward to warm weather too , to get out in the peaceful woods and it's beauty.
