Dance with me
Under Glasgow’s midnight stars
As the depths of sadness
Sleep in your eyes,
And we will walk Balmore Road
From its beginning to its end
To watch the sunrise peek
From the Campsie Glens.
And we will wait for soft water
To stroke our skin
A Scottish trait
Of the eternal rain.
You will climb within my heart
Glaswegian and old,
To warm your soul
From the harsh, hatred cold.
