Truth

Blackstar

rendered in the darkness
while standing upside down
a smile there if you do care
is truly but a frown

the depth within the chasm
of the eyes and thus soul
just shattered realization
collapsed star now a hole

for i was forged into this
some statue crowned a lie
never knowing what was
what is and who am I

if all your faults forgiven
and accountability mine
then i was made to simply blame
carry on, survive

they'll never see
I'll never be
as time has
slipped away

the truth inside
the shattered mind
screaming loud
proclaim

when broken now is yesterday
tomorrow never comes
the moment i bear witness
the zero form is sum

the truth, the one
has been undone
and i must contemplate
for all that i have walked beyond
to reconcile hate

never free and never me
and what i have become
a mourning and a warning
to what we all have done

dressed in shadow
perceived shallow
hallowed halls of soul
to walk in darkness
creating light
so on my way i go

i wait till time
has passed us by
i wave to my reflection

will you see clearer
when you face the mirror
will it point direction

the hungry statue
i became
to never be
and satiate

to wander only knowing
that though I'm forced to fall

what brings satisfaction
to what never was at all

    thanks for sharing
I thought this was well written
    and really liked this stanza:
'for i was forged into this
    some statue crowned a lie
    never knowing what was
what is and who am I'
